How to replace the oil of loader?

2024-08-12

In order for wheel loader to operate normally in good condition, the engine oil level should be checked daily before operating the excavator as follows:

1. Make sure the excavator is parked on a flat surface, turn off the engine and wait for 30 minutes for the oil to flow back into the sump

2. Open the engine compartment cover and locate the oil dipstick

3. Pull out the dipstick completely and wipe the oil from the dipstick with a clean paper towel.

4. Insert the cleaned dipstick into the oil pan again, insert it completely and pull it out again.

5. Observe the oil level on the dipstick after pulling it out.

6. There are usually two marks on the dipstick, respectively "F" and "L" or similar marks, the oil level should be between these two marks.

7. If the oil level is close to or below the "L" mark, it is necessary to add oil.

8. If the oil level exceeds the "F" mark, it is necessary to drain the excess oil.

9. After adding the proper amount of oil to the engine filler neck, repeat the above steps until the oil level is within the normal range.

10. Ensure that the oil level in the normal range is to ensure the normal operation of the engine and to avoid engine damage to the important measures

11. For our safety, please make sure you do the daily inspection.

Specific replacement steps

1. Oil and oil filter change intervals vary depending on the manufacturer and conditions of use.

2. For our LY942 wheel loader, the recommended replacement interval is 250 hours.

3. If the excavator is used in harsh environments (e.g. dusty, high temperature, humidity, etc.), the maintenance frequency should be increased appropriately.

4. It is worth noting that if it is a new machine, it is recommended to replace it in 50 hours.

5. Before replacement, you need to turn off the engine and wait for the engine to cool down.

6. Open the oil drain bolt of the oil pan and drain the old oil into the container

7. Remove the old oil filter with a filter wrench.

8. Apply a small amount of new oil to the new filter seal and install the new oil filter.

9. Install the oil drain bolt, open the oil filler neck and add new oil.

10. Check the oil level to make sure it's within the normal range, how to check it has been explained in the previous video

11. Start the engine and run it for a few minutes to check for leaks.

12. If there is no leakage, then turn off the engine and let it stand for 30min, check the filter for leakage.
